Google has many messaging services, all of which work very well. Google Voice, Google Talk and Google Hangouts all work to serve their purpose, but they don’t work very well with each other. According to reports, Google is going to try and remedy that by releasing a new unified messaging app to combine all of their services, under the delightfully named ‘Babble’.
According to Geek.com, Google is building the app from the ground up so that it’s future-proof, and the company plans to reveal the app at Google I/O in May.
There has been rumours that this is what Google is planning for quite some time now, but this is the first time we have been able to put a name to the product we’ll probably find ourselves using a lot in a matter of months.
