Netflix has big plans for creating original content in 2013, the first being House of Cards, which was released earlier today.
The series is a political drama which stars Kevin Spacey in the leading role. Netflix has made all 13 episodes available at the same time, so if you have the time, you could watch the entire series over the weekend.
While early reviews of the series do appear to be quite favourable, a lot of the focus is on Netflix, who have managed to pull off a TV series with a budget of $100 million. Depending on the reaction, we could be getting a taste of the future of television.
