In a very surprising move, Google have announced than an upcoming update to their iOS Google application will feature an improved voice search, much like the one introduced exclusively for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
I should clarify that the new update will not actually bring the parts of Google Now that learn about you to give you relevant information. The only part that Google are transferring is the voice search which brings up a web result, however the application will respond in voice in a way that is almost identical to Jelly Bean.
The update is expected to roll out in the next couple of days. It’s an odd move considering that, following a wide variety of videos showing that Google Now is better than Siri, Google’s voice search was one of the most appealing features on Android.
