Android Event Set For October 29th

Google have just sent out invites to the high profile technology reporters, inviting them to an Android event on October 29th in New York City. The invitation itself is designed around the interface of Google Now, the assistant which was introduced in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It’s thought that the upcoming event could be used as a way to showcase version 4.2, which we reported on earlier this week. It’s likely that Google will also use this event to announce the next Nexus phone, with the possibility of there being multiple Nexus handsets revealed.

It’s a busy October in the technology world, with the iPad Mini expected to be announced later this week, as well as the Windows Phone 8 event shortly afterwards.
