As a proud owner of the Galaxy Note II, I’m used to the occasional person doing a double-take when they look at me using the device, due to it’s large size. I feel sorry for the people who will be lured into purchasing Samsung’s latest oversized device, the Galaxy Mega, which measures a whopping 6.3″ in screen size.
Samsung are further blending the line between phones and tablets, by releasing the Galaxy Mega which is extremely close to becoming a small tablet.
The specifications on the Galaxy Mega aren’t as ‘mega’ as the screen though, with a 1.7GHz dual core chipset, and an 8 megapixel camera. The phone does run on Android 4.2 however, and has an extremely impressive 3,200mAh battery.
Samsung appear to be saving their huge specifications for the next generation of Note, which will probably be arrive later this year.
The Galaxy Mega is due to launch in May for around £600, and there is also the option to buy a slightly smaller 5.8″ version of the device, however it has slightly lower specifications.
