Now that it’s been a while since it was released, and PSY has released a new song since then, Gangnam Style is slowly becoming less and less involved in our lives. So already, the idea that Samsung would choose to perform this song at their Galaxy S4 launch would raise some eyebrows, even more so when you find that they have reworded the lyrics to promote the S4’s key features. The finished product is exactly as you can imaging, two minutes of unbearable torture.
You might remember that at the New York launch last month, Samsung were criticized for several reasons, and while this probably isn’t as controversial, it certainly hasn’t made me want a Galaxy S4 any more than I did already.
I hate to use the same old cliché, but unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, I expect you have heard of Pinterest already. It’s that small social network which has grown to become one of the fastest growing websites of all time, but what is it?
Well, as I mentioned above, it’s a social network….with a twist. Based entirely around image sharing, Pinterest encourages the ‘pinning’ and ‘re-pinning’ of photos found both on websites, and uploaded directly to the site by the user. If an image is pinned from a website, that image becomes linked to the URL, thus re-directing a substantial amount of traffic to that website.
With a system like this, and with it being as popular as it is, it’s becoming a site owners dream. The video above is entitled ‘A Marketer’s Guide to Pinterest’, but the video goes into so much more detail on the social network, giving you just about everything you need to know about the viral website.
